1 Remove your limits

Reduce your subject to a single core word and then brainstorm around it. For example, if you’re trying to write about “Study Skills”, expand your thinking to “School”.

Now jot down everything that comes to mind when you think about School, and when you run out of ideas start asking yourself open questions around the subject and noting your answers.

What did I enjoy about school?  What scared me?

What did I wish I’d known from Day 1?

This will help you get back into the mindset of someone struggling with school issues of all kinds and you’ll start to get a feel for their concerns and worries.

2 Restore your focus

Once you’ve started to understand the general feelings of your readers, allow your mind to focus back on your original topic of Study Skills. From your new perspective, what questions would you ask?

What would you want to know? Is this really a “Studying” issue or is it more about Time Management or being able to work without distractions or being paralyzed by the fear of not doing well?

3 Be your audience

Write each question on a separate sheet of paper; don’t stop until you have at least ten and preferably more. Stay in the mindset of your readers until you feel you’ve asked every major question that concerns them.

4 Take a step back

Put your pile of question aside for a few hours, overnight if possible. Don’t consciously think about them; just go about your day as usual.

Give your subconscious time to process them without any further prompting from you. If new questions come to mind jot them down somewhere safe and then forget about them.

5 Get out your pen and write

When you’re ready, sit down with your pages of questions and simply start to answer them. Writing your answers by hand can give you access to ideas that might be missed if you type them. Don’t edit yourself at this stage.

Using Speech to Text software or a digital recorder can also be helpful in bypassing the internal editor. Imagine someone sitting in front of you asking for advice and just talk to them. Keep your tone natural and conversational and stay with the question-and-answer format.

6 Edit lightly

Trust your first instincts. Proof-read and correct any obvious errors, but don’t do any major editing until your piece has had time to “sit” for a while. Again, leaving it overnight will give you a fresh perspective the next time you look at it,

but even if your deadline doesn’t allow for that it’s important to give yourself a break from it.When you’re pushed for time, writing several articles at one sitting can create enough change of focus to make you “forget” the one you’ve just written.

7 Polish it up

Short articles are unlikely to need major editing if you’ve written them as described here. They will flow easily and naturally already and having each Q & A on a separate sheet makes it easier to select only the ones you want.

Your job now is to put them in a reasonably logical sequence and make sure they’re understandable and that the reader is led smoothly from one question and answer to the next.

8 Top and tail it

Write a brief introductory paragraph as a “teaser” for the main article. Many article directories now put the first paragraph of each piece into RSS feeds which are picked up by other websites,

so you’ll want to make sure that your two or three major keywords appear at least once in that first paragraph. Write another short paragraph to summarize the major points of the article and provide some ideas for the reader to explore the subject further.

Don’t of course forget your own resource box: use the format Submit You New Article  for your link, so when your article is converted to html your link will automatically be live.

10 Reason to Start your dream Job

If you dream about having a different career, but don’t act on that dream,

GetMyDrivers, Enjoy faster gaming, streaming and downloading

you may be operating under the assumption of a career myth. In this article, I expose 10 myths, sayings you’ve heard before that simply are not true. Let’s explore them.

Career Myth #1: You can’t make a living doing something you

really, truly love

This is the grand-daddy of career myths, the belief that you can’t have a “practical” career doing something that you were passionate about. It has to be one or the other.

This myth is rooted in fear.

Fear that we have to sacrifice our happiness to make a living. Don’t buy the myth that you can’t earn a living by doing what you love.

When I first started coaching,

I heard from plenty of people that it would be very difficult to make a living doing this work. I just decided to find coaches who were successful, and to learn from them

If you find yourself buying into this myth,

consider this question – As you look back on your life, what will you regret more? Following your passion or following your fears?

Career Myth #2: It’s a tough job market/economy

Even when the newspapers and other news sources say that unemployment numbers remain steady, that job growth is at a standstill,

or that we’re experiencing slow economic recovery, not to mention downsizing and outsourcing, don’t believe it.

It’s a myth because it doesn’t reflect the whole story, the fact that that it’s a different job market today. It’s a changing economy. How we transition from job-to-job is different.

Hiring practices have shifted.

So the job market has changed, but that doesn’t necessarily make it tougher. What makes it tougher is that we’ve been slower to change.

We’ve held on to old practices and old behaviors. That’s not to say that old ways still don’t work, but they’re just not as effective.

So I challenge you to just believe that it’s a perfect job market for you to find work.

I’ve had my college students try this, just for a week, and, more times than not, several of them find job leads or make important connections during the week.

Career Myth #3: Changing careers is risky

What’s riskier than leaving what you know to pursue the unknown? Changing careers means leaving behind a piece of your identity – your “I’m a lawyer” response to the “what-do-you-do?” question.

It might mean admitting to yourself that you made a mistake with an initial career choice. Or it might mean acknowledging that you’re unsure of what’s next. And smart people always know what’s next,

Successful career changers often don’t have a plan.

In Working Identity: How Successful Career Changers Turn Fantasy into Reality . provided evidence that waiting until you have a plan is actually riskier than just doing and experimenting.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is riskier than not changing careers if you’re longing to do so. Here’s why: The longing won’t go away. It will always be there, under the surface, waiting for you to do something about it.

Career Myth #4: Always have a back-up plan

Sometimes having a back-up plan is the smart and prudent course of action. Back-up plans are so grown-up and responsible.

But what happens when you’re standing with one foot in and one foot out? In my experience,

we usually close the door and retreat. We are reluctant to commit to ourselves, and we end up denying ourselves the satisfaction of playing full-out,

getting dirty and sweaty. We end up with feelings of regret and the nagging “What if?” question.

Back-up plans diffuse our energy.

Diffused energy equals diffused results. Give all that you’ve got to your dream/passion/risk and you’ve got a better chance of being successful.

Career Myth #5: There’s a perfect job out there for everyone

How long have you been searching for yours? You just know, deep inside, that there’s an ideal job that’s perfect for you out there. It matches your personality, skills, and interests to a tee.

Article Marketing

A Newbies Guide To Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the absolute basics of Internet marketing. Having articles all over the Internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come.

This article will explore some of the advantages of article marketing

and its subtleties in order to help Internet marketers  to use it to their best advantage. Anyone who’s been doing Internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one’s on-line campaigns.

Having articles in various article directories

is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site’s popularity.

When a page has many links back to it it helps

to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page’s rank.

Bear in mind that people take articles

they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you,

the author, with more back links and publicity.

When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.

Although it may be tempting

to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this.

Why is that?

Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site.

Laura Geller

It’s better to submit articles every couple of days.

In the process of article marketing, don’t submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don’t want that!

Google would consider the site

which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site’s page rank may suffer.

Don’t submit PLR articles without making changes!!

There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don’t do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article.

Read it and rewrite it in your own words.

Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.

Try to use good keywords

in your article’s title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.

Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks.

For sophisticated and efficient article marketing try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP’s (search engine result pages).

If you are targeting the word “gardening tips”

make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term “gardening tips”.

Try to remember that people will be reading your article.

Make it readable for them and don’t just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don’t enjoy reading the article, they won’t bother reaching the end of it,

which is where you will lead them to your site

from the ever- important resource box! In summary, article marketing is a very important, even critical, element of Internet marketing. Every Internet marketer should be

making the effort to become proficient

in article marketing and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.

Happy writing!
