So you have been wanting to get into affiliate marketing, and want to know the rules. You have your website and or blog all set up and ready to go. You have chosen your niche and market that you want to promote and make money off of.
Promoting other’s services and products is not something that is difficult to do. However, you will find that with all of the many companies that offer affiliate programs, and referral options, they all have their own rules that you must follow.
Affiliate marketing is pretty easy to follow,
that is unless you have many different programs that you are a part of. When you start getting so many that you cannot remember the rules, or the guidelines that you have to follow, you might have a problem.
Each company is allowed to make their own rules. However, you might see many similarities. That does not mean that they are copying one another, or cloning their affiliate program so to speak, but yet it means that they have the same rules.
Affiliate marketing rules can be so very different.
They can range from not mentioning the brand names that they sell anywhere on your website, to not have that particular market in your website URL. Because they are so different for each program and company that you promote,
you are going to have to be sure that you read each one well and make sure that you understand it fully. If you all ready have your URL for your website, you may not be able to participate in some of the affiliate programs.
Another rule that you are going to see often when you are into affiliate marketing is the page rank rule. Some of the companies that will allow you to promote their services or products will not want you to have a higher page rank than they do.
For example, if you were promoting coffee, and you wanted to become an affiliate for Folgers coffee. Your website would not be able to come up above the official Folgers coffee website in the search engine results when coffee,
Folgers coffee is used as the search term.
The companies that have this rule in place for their affiliate marketing programs feel as if your website were higher than theirs for the product that they are selling, that it would hurt their business tremendously. And, it just might.
than the commissioned sales. Who wouldn’t? Keeping a spreadsheet of the affiliate marketing programs that you are a part of and their rules is a great idea. This way you are never confused and know just where you need to stand to be a part of that program.
This is the best thing that you can do for your affiliate
Not only that, you will also find that some of the sites that have broken rules and have been caught have resulted in law suits. Cover your tracks and make sure that you are following the rules that are set by that company for the best results.
If you can find a program that fits your needs and will help you keep everything straight, you may not have to worry about keeping track of them yourself. Use your software to keep track and make sure that you are doing your affiliate marketing the right way.
Your efforts will pay off eventually, and you will be glad that you went by the book and followed the necessary affiliate marketing rules.
The words that display in the top of your web page, is one of the most crucial elements on the page as far as the search engines go. When you do a search for something what do you type in the search field?
you type in a keyword or key phrase like “men’s cross training air sneakers”. A very common mistake is to put your company name in the page title. Sometimes it’s appropriate, but for ranking purposes, uses a concise description of your page with a prime keyword from that page.
Bonus Hint- Start your first sentence with that same
Content Quality You’ll surely find as many opinions about content as there are about politics. Take away the extremes and you’ll find the meat is the same. To increase your rank, you have to have searchable content, and it must be quality.
What is quality? More importantly, what do the search
engines think is quality?
The answers depend on your site and position on the internet. However, all quality content shares some characteristics. It’s useful information about your products or service. Don’t throw random free, generic, carbon copied stuff from the web onto your site.
Build copy around different aspects of your target. LOOK FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE
If you have a site about restoring classic cars, make a page about the evolution of headlights over the decades. Add another page about how and where to find hard to find classic parts.
Content should be: Easy to follow-
and well written for a human reader, not a search engine. Unique- write it yourself or hire a writer. Varied- Don’t fill your page with the same keyword repeatedly or you risk being considered spam.
if any, in all of the major engines for all of the keywords you want to rank could take a day on your own. Some other types of reports available are: Keyword Research- A list of keywords you or I might make sitting down with a pencil and paper is a good start.
The important word here is “start”.
That list is dozens of revisions away from completion. It will expand and contract many times as further information is gathered. Are your words focused and targeted enough so you’ll attract qualified leads?.
What words does your competition have throughout their pages? And most importantly, are the words you’ve chosen actually being typed into search engines? You can find many different levels of keyword services from simple analysis of your existing pages .
to research and development of an entire list ready for use

Adwords or PPC campaigns. Competition Research- Who is ranking now? Who is in the positions where you want to be? .Examine your competition’s pages with a microscope. An Understanding of those you want to outrank gives you a working outline to revise your own.
Focus on trends, keywords, densities, titles, page elements… their pages, structures and their links. On Page Optimization- A report like this analyzes the words in the elements on your page like titles and boldface or headings as well as your body copy, and link text.
It also tells you information about keyword density.
Earlier I mentioned that using a keyword too many times on a page could be considered spam. An analysis like this will show how many times each word, word pairs and groups of words were used on a page and what percentage of all the words they are.
A report on a high ranking competitor’s site will give you
some insight into a page.
that is successfully ranking for keywords you want. Off Page or Link Reports- As soon as you start learning about search engine optimization, you’ll understand what a key role good quality links play in determining rank.
These types of analysis will show who is linking to you,
or even better, who is linking to a ranking competitor. You can get some ideas of sites to list with and an approximate number of links of a particular quality that you’ll need to rank. TAKE SOME ACTION- a few well researched changes can give you a boost.
then find a respected, recommended and experienced search engine optimization professional. The same logic that tells you to go to the doctor when aspirin doesn’t do the job also applies to this situation.
If budget is constricting, your keywords have little
or you’d like to improve your presence to the best it can be without employing a professional then you’d be surprised what a little knowledge and time can do for your ranking. Applying the same techniques every few weeks and keeping your site fresh will put you a level even higher above the rest.
that given varying weights by different engines to determine where you rank. A brand new site, no matter how optimized it is usually doesn’t show any rank in Google until it miraculously appears about a year later.
Older sites of more than a few years often take the top
ranks for competitive words.
Don’t be discouraged. The simple SEO methods you read about online or in publications can give your site a stronger presence, but will achieve far better results for you if you employ some smaller, budget based intelligence and research.
Everybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I’ve spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any
programs worth buying. I’ve been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn’t require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them.
I’ve seen a lot of “get rich quick” programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense,
Because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I’d make daily with their programs. Maybe you’ve already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered.
I decided I’d look through the all of the “get rich quick” programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free.
and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products.
Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any. I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below,
One of the most popular questions I get when I speak about online marketing is how to drive more traffic to a web site. Eight different techniques for doing just that are outlined below. Save this article, and refer to it for additional ideas whenever you try to expand your online marketing campaigns:
Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your new products, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor.
– Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). SEO is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them
This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.
Keep in touch with your clients and potential clients by sending out a newsletter on a regular basis. Every time you send out a newsletter, don’t forget to invite the subscribers to visit your web site.
Mention your web site address in your signature when networking online. Make sure that your web site is prominently displayed on the page, provided to you by every online networking service that you participate in, so that your fellow networkers can visit your web site.
Every time you send out an e-mail to one person, you have a chance to get an extra visitor for your web site. When you send an e-mail to a mailing list, you have a chance to spread the word to even more potential customers. All you need to do is to append a signature to every outgoing e-mail message. Make sure that the signature contains a powerful tagline that invites the readers to click on the link and visit your site
Here you can control exactly how many new visitors you want to get. There is a catch, though — you have to pay for every click to your web site. Make a budget and stick to it an make sure to monitor your account – those clicks add up fast.
An affiliate program is another way to drive traffic to your web site. Your affiliates are your commissions-only sales people who make money when they sell your products. They drive traffic to your web site in exchange for commissions on sales.
Today I have discussed eight different ways of driving traffic to your web site. Which techniques are you not using yet? Take one of the techniques and incorporate it into your marketing plan. You will get a whole new pool of web site visitors coming to your web site.
A few years back when this form of promotion was very popular, everyone was posting their one line ads on these types of sites for more traffic to their site and a better “link popularity”. It was soon realized that “FFA” sites don’t do either.
How can adding a small, one line ad accompanied by 100’s of others that isn’t related to each other benefit you???
Once you submit your one line classified ad, you automatically give the owners of the FFA sites to send you messages. At the same time, there are 1000’s of marketers who are gathering your e-mail to do the very same thing.
Honestly though, have you ever spent the time to visit a site from these lists?
Do you honestly want to ruin your e-mail just from posting one time??? I guarantee you that your inbox will be full within a matter of weeks.
On another note, Google is actively searching these FFA sites and penalizing them. They offer no use to visitors. Please do your business a favor, never list and FFA sites on your site, you might be subject to being penalized as well from Google.
The main reason why web videos are so important to Internet marketers is because it allows them to connect with their. Potential customers on an intimate basis. Since there are so many Internet marketers consuming the web.
It is extremely important that you stand out from the crowd. Also another reason why Internet marketing is boosted by web videos is because it sets them apart from the various scams. and other schemes that are surrounding the web.
More than likely,
Customer has been scammed by an Internet marketer, Thus many people do not pay heed to the marketing efforts that you put forth.
A main reason for this is because you are following the same paths that many scammers have used. Thus, if you want to make a sale and gain the trust of a customer, than you must think outside of the box.
One great way to utilize web video is to simplify the product,
Give all of the information that the customer needs in less than three minutes.
If you are able to successfully do this,
You will help gain loyalty from the customer and they will be more likely to purchase your product or service.
Web videos are a great way to interact with potential customers, and also a great way to showcase your product. There are only so many words and photographs that you can use to get your message across, however,
when you use video in conjunction with these other two communication methods,
You will have a very successful stent at selling your product.
There are several production tips that you must follow if you want to have a video that is perfect for the web. Make sure that when you are filming a video you minimize any type of camera movement. This includes zooming and out, as well as panning over to view another object.
If you do have to move the camera in your video, use a tripod because you will receive smooth transitions, and you can move the camera so slowly that it will not cause a disruption in how the video will be seen.
Another tip for optimizing your video for the web while you are actually filming by using ample amounts of light. Make sure that you stay away from “hot spots,” which are areas of extreme bright white light,
After you have filmed and edited your web video, begins the process of optimizing its actual size for the internet. When you are in this process, it is always a good idea to cut the frame rate below 15fps, or frames per second.
The reason for this is because when you cut the frame rate.
It allows more data to be stored in each frame thus giving you picture quality. That is much better than if you were to keep your frame rate at a higher pace.
Many people say that one could do affiliate marketing even without a website to start with. Actually, one can really start promoting and marketing his affiliate products even without a website;
and there exist numerous ways on how this can be done. In truth, many affiliate marketing strategies that leads to success can exist without actually needing a website. Among these strategies are email marketing,
offline promotions, writing e-books, writing ezines and engaging in online discussions like forums, chats, message boards and others.
Email marketing, or keeping up email lists, is in reality the most popular affiliate marketing scheme that does not involve the affiliate to keep up a website.
In this affiliate marketing strategy, what you essentially do is uphold a list of the email ads of your potential purchasers and offer them with content that are relevant with the affiliate merchandises and
Online Marketinghave been a normal part of the internet since the beginning, but only a few select individuals actually knew how and truly understood what needed to be done to make the internet a profitable place.
Affiliate Marketing Trainers
Well of course times have changed and everyone from 60+ grandmas to high school kids is making cash online.
This phenomenon is no surprise for those of us who have been tracking this money ticking time bomb called the internet. Online
marketing sales have been increasing by the billions from many different niche markets that have become very popular and profitable online.
With all these new revenue streams coming online each and everyday, there must be a way to tap into them, but how. Well if you have spent any amount of time online,
you have been offered some sort of money making opportunity, everything from e-bay to e-books. With so many choices how can anyone make a good educated decisionabout where to start and what to sell,
I mean heck the online marketing money making gurus don’t always simplify the best route to take, not to mention there is a new guru every week anyway.
Well my friends there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have literally spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars in search for the Holy Grail.
Only to find out that everything I needed to know about online marketing money making was right in front of my face.
I just needed to look at the products I had been consuming from the marketers prospective, and what was it that made me want to spend my hard earned money on this product or service.
It took me the headache of running into a couple of brick walls but I figured it out. Now what most gurus don’t tell you is that even during their beginning stages they had someone to go to and ask questions or advice.
on line marketing
They don’t disclose this stuff in the courses they are selling but its true. You take any one good at anything and behind the scenes you will find a coach or a mentor of some sort.
Unfortunately there is not any emphasis placed on having a good go to person when you fall flat on your face the first couple of times.
Even if you figured it out like me it’s still good to have someone to say “hey if you open that door you will probably fall in a pit, or I have tried and tested that and have had
Now don’t get me wrong if I had someone that was qualified to give advice on what I was doing a lot earlier, my learning curve would have been shorter.
The bottom line is this even if you have spent countless hours online and brought every course there is, nothing beats having someone who has been where you are trying to go to help give you advice on your
Search Engines are one of the most popular methods of finding information in the 21st century. Gone are the days of opening an encyclopedia to find the answer to a question or skimming the yellow pages to locate a local specialist. Search engines are helping us tackle every conceivable problem that we happen to face in our daily life.
Need to do research on the Civil War? Car having problems? Shopping for a new microwave? Curious about evolution? The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Search Engines provide a means to possibly answer any question that anybody has at any time. So how can this help us in promoting our business?
To start, let’s discuss how search engines work, without boring you with too much computer tech babble. Search engines consist of a number of very sophisticated software programs that gather and organize information from the internet.
The first important program is called a “robot spider” that is used to index, or “find” pages posted on the internet. The search engine then uses an algorithm, or mathematical equation, to determine how important a web page is in relation to a particular word or phrase (referred to as keywords or keyword phrases.)
Let’s use an example to better understand this concept. Say you went to Google.com and entered the words “los angeles pizza”. The results shown by Google will be shown on your screen. The results are numbered starting with #1;
Google is telling you that, based on its very sophisticated mathematical equation, that the number one listing is the most relevant web page for the words “los angeles”. Hopefully, that # 1 listing will provide you with the information you are looking for.
Now imagine if you were a pizza shop owner in Los Angeles, and your websites home page just so happened to be that # 1 listing on Google. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see how this listing is an important marketing tool for your pizza business.
Now, before you jump out of your seat, hold on, because it gets better. Another software program the search engines use has the ability to keep track of how many times a word or phrase is being searched. This is where the dynamics of search engine marketing really start to shine.
In traditional marketing, like television or radio, demographics are used to determine what audience you should target your business to. A commercial for a kid’s cereal would probably be shown during a children’s television show.
TV companies would charge more for an ad spot that ran during a show that attracted more viewers for a specific “target market”. Super Bowl ads are the most expensive because the program attracts the attention a millions of 18-35 year old men who tend to spend quite a bit of money on consumer products, thus the crazy amount of money that is spent of advertising.
With search, however, the informationthat is collected helps us target our websites (which are a basically commercials that run 24 hours a day) to a more specific audience; we can actually pinpoint roughly how many people searched for the words “ford mustang parts”. Now if you are someone who sells ford mustang parts, this information is very important to you.
Ten years ago, the only way of marketing your business would be to purchase advertising that probably targeted a large number of people, usually in a car trade magazine. You would have a good idea about your audience, but you didn’t have any real numbers of how many people were looking for your product. With search engine marketing, it’s possible to focus marketing campaigns on just people that are actually looking for the products or services you sell, saving you precious time and money that would otherwise be wasted on those not interested in you.
This is why search engine marketing is especially important to the small business owner, who usually does not have deep pockets to spend on marketing and advertising to begin with.
Search Engine Marketing has taken the business world by storm, and has propelled search engines like Google to become huge, billion dollar corporations through their advertising revenues. Traditional media has begun to transform as the barriers between television, radio, print, and the internet begin to blur.
The internet has introduced a new performance-based marketing and advertising platform that will spill over into these other forms of advertising. Understanding the actual process of marketing your website through these search engines is crucial in understanding how the marketing industry is evolving and changing in the new century.
The Direct Marketers Association (DMA) reports that Email Marketing earns an ROI that is greater than $43 per dollar invested and drives more conversions than any other
channel including print, social media and PPC advertising. Plus 77% of consumers prefer to receive permission-based marketing messages via email rather than through any other channel, therefore, email is the best medium to extend your link marketing reach and effectiveness!
Email marketing is labeled as a killer method when it comes to effective low-cost Internet marketing endeavors. This is because it is the most widely-used and has the best reputation in bringing targeted traffic to websites. It is used to stay in touch with your customers or prospective customers, send out invitations, or make special offers.
It’s as easy as writing an e-mail that may be in a form of a newsletter or a plain announcement, and sending that to as many targeted recipients as possible. However, there’s an ideal way of going about it. Email marketing is not just about writing any email that you will be sending to anybody. To clarify that, here are some simple tips in doing email marketing the best way possible.
1. Join the “Can Spam” campaign.
Email marketing is not at any rate tantamount to spamming. You are not supposed to send information that your email list will not have any valuable use for.
2. Make your email list open it.
Your email might get lost together with the hundreds of emails that inbox owners are confronted with everyday. Improve your subject line by using extra white space creatively, adding text symbols, starting each word with a capital letter, asking compelling questions, not making any unbelievable claims, and not using the word FREE.
3. Keep it real.
Not including any too good to be true statements is not only applicable to your subject line. Your email content must never embody any promise your business can’t keep. Make your offer genuinely of value to your recipients.
4. Don’t go too low.
If you inform your customers regarding discounts, minimal discounts are not that effective compared with substantial discounts. But never offer discounts that are lower than your profit. It will defeat the purpose of this email marketing effort.
5. Make it eventful.
It’s not about contradicting the advice that you should keep an email short and sweet. This tip is on including seminars, conferences and other events in your email. Businesses that require training benefit much from this method. With these RSVP-requiring emails, repetition is important. Just make sure that an ample interval is considered before sending out a reminder email.
6. Post news.
Sending newsletters and postcards provides useful information for your subscribers. These are the best forms of reaching out to your customers or prospects. You should keep the information short, simple and direct to the point for this feat to be effective.
With these simple ways of going about your email marketing endeavor, your business will prosper in no time.
I hope you will get the success you are looking for from

There are two paths to success on internet .work marketing.
1. The school of hard knocks – The path of where you get beaten down. This is where you get in the game, you take action, and you learn and pay for your mistakes from your experience. Not what I would suggest, but it will lead you to where you need to go if you truly desire network marketing success and have the will power to survive.
2. The shortcut – The path of the entrepreneur. This is where you leverage the experience and the mistakes of those that have come before you. They make the mistakes and you benefit for it by learning what not to do and what to do instead. You succeed faster and than the trailblazer because you don’t have to make the same mistakes they did.
It all starts with action, that’s the key. You take persistent and consistent action towards your goal and as long as you don’t stop you WILL get there. REGARDLESS!
The only question is . . .
Do you want to get there fast or do you want to get there slow?
Do you want to get beat up along the way or do you want virtual easy button?
Here’s your shortcut to Internet network marketing success…

The Real Secret To Building A High-Profit Internet Business
My wife laughs every time she sees me doing it.
At least once or twice every week, I’ll be at my desk (or at the dining room table) with my Franklin Covey planner open and a stack of laminated checklists in hand.
“What are you doing, honey?” she calls, already knowing the answer.
“I’m planning”, I reply with a smile. She laughs and I get back to work.
She laughs because she swears I spend half of my time “planning”.
But, if you ask me how I’m able to get as much work done as I do in only 3 hours a day, I’ll point to a black Franklin Covey planner with about a dozen laminated checklists inside.
Building an Internet business is easy. Seriously. I’m not saying that it’s not complicated, because it is. I’m just saying that it’s easy to accomplish if you just have a system in place.
There’s very little in this world that can’t be accomplished with the right set of action steps in front of you.
Today, I’m going to give you such a system for building your Internet business. There are only 4 steps…
1. Decide What You Want To Do. Do you want to run an eBay(R) business? Be an affiliate marketer? Buy and sell reprint rights? Get involved in niche marketing? While all of those things will likely find their way into your plan in time, you gotta begin with one thing at a time.
2. Determine A Weekly Action Plan. After you decide what you want to do, it’s time to determine how to get it done. What I do is this: I create a weekly set of action steps. That is, I have a set of things I do on Monday, on Tuesday, and so forth. Decide how many hours (as little as ONE) you want to work each day and schedule yourself a reasonable amount of things to get done in that time frame. Repeat this process week after week.
My recommendation: Begin writing ezine articles to promote your list … and affiliate programs. It’s the easiest way to get free traffic and build your list at the same time.
3. Devote Yourself To Staying On Schedule. The important thing here is to stick to it. The easiest way that I know of to make certain you develop discipline in your schedule is to NOT set unrealistic expectations. Give yourself ample time to do each day’s action step- don’t over schedule. Look for progress along the way to celebrate. Reward yourself when you’ve reached a milestone. And, remember, you’re GROWING a business. Just like physical growth, it takes time… it WILL happen if you remain committed.
My recommendation: Weave in simple activities related to the following categories – List building (ezine articles), product creation(conduct interviews or hire ghostwriters), site development (making your site convert more visitors into buyers),and education (continuing to learn new ways to grow your business).
4. Develop Additional Shortcuts. As you get better and better at working with your lists, creating products and tweaking your site, you’ll want to continue to improve your business with new ideas, strategies, tools, and resources. The key is simple: never stop learning!
My recommendation: Visit forums. Read articles. Download reports. Identify sites and resources that CONTRIBUTE to your success in educating you. You want faster results, bigger increases, automated processes, and other ways to get more accomplished and more profit, with less work involved.
Everything depends on your developing a plan and sticking to it.
And that is the REAL secret to building a high-profit Internet business!
Afraid To Take A Vacation? Put Your Business On Cruise Control
“I started my business so that I’d have freedom, but I’ve never felt more trapped….”
I come across a statement like that at least once a day on a forum
post or in email. You start your internet business because of the
freedom of being your own boss and working on your own schedule and
then promptly sit on your hind-end for 12 hours/day EVERY DAY. No
wonder you feel burnt out. And no wonder family and friends are
feeling neglected when all you can think and talk about is your
Freedom sounds pretty miserable to me if it means freedom from fun and the ones that I love.
Start by taking a good look at your business and getting your goals
and priorities straight. Don’t worry, it’s not nearly as
complicated as it sounds. I’ll walk you through it right now. Ready?
Grab a pen and a piece of paper or open your favorite word
processor. Divide your page into four columns.
Now you’re ready to brainstorm. Write everything down as it comes
to mind. Don’t over think this. Just start writing.
First, figure out what is working. Whatever it is. It may be one of
your websites, your e courses, a joint venture, a certain marketing
method. Where is the bulk of your money coming from, currently? (If
none yet, where do you believe will be the place where the largest
profits will come from?) Write those items in column #1 under: “Do
Second, figure out what is not bringing in money. Is it hanging out
on forums or posting classified ads to freebie sites? Is it
endlessly checking your stats, or email? What are your daily
time-suckers? Write those under column #2: “Do less”.
Third, figure out what could work better. Do you have up sells in
place? Are your websites designed to bring you cash from every
visitor? Make a list of ideas in column #3: “Improvements”. (If you
don’t know yet, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to improve
your business as you learn and grow.)
Fourth, figure out what can be automated. Which tasks are
repetitive and boring, albeit necessary? Many of those types of
tasks can be automated with simple tools. For instance, if you’re
submitting articles to directories by hand, there are tools and
services to do that for you. Add these to column #4: “Automation”.
Now that you’re armed with your list, it’s time to get to work.
Look at your list in Column #1: “Do More”. Those are the tasks that
you should focus your energies on. It’s a good idea to tackle one
or two of the tasks on that list first thing in the morning – every
morning. Believe me, it’s much more productive than checking out
your favorite blogs or logging into twitter. And you’ll be amazed
at how much you can get done quickly when your mind is fresh.
Look at your list in Column #2: “Do Less”. These activities should
be forbidden until after you get your #1 list done, if you do them
at all. For instance, hanging out on Twitter is fun, but do not do
it until everything in column #1 is finished for the day.
Now, go back to Column #1, 3, and 4. Your “Do More”,
“Improvements”, and “Automation” lists.
Look at all of the items that are on those three lists. Now, circle
each task that you …
– Can’t Do – Don’t Have Time to Do – Don’t Want To Do
Those are the tasks that you’ll outsource.
Freedom means a lot of things. It means freedom to do the things
that you want to do. However, it also means freedom to NOT do
things that you really dislike doing.
For me, it’s graphics. I have outsourced all of my graphics since
2001. I don’t have the time, patience or inclination to learn how
to make my own graphics. I have more important things to do, like
write this article and then go on a bike ride with my son. Perhaps
when I get back from my bike ride, my graphics will be waiting for
me in my inbox.
4 Strategic Tips For Making Money Online More Quickly
If it seems that everybody is making boatloads of money online and you’re missing out, fear not.
There’s plenty of time left for you, and the greatest part about it that it’s not very difficult.
Strategic Tip #1: Plan to work hard.
I know, this goes against everything you hear but deep down you know that nothing worthwhile is easy right?
You also know that getting anything done quickly just takes more work.
Even cleaning out the garage, yeah you could take your time and get it done over a weeks time, or else you could work your butt off and have it finished and be sitting right back down on the couch watching your favorite reruns.
To get things done quicker you just have to put in the extra hard work, but when the checks start rolling in, all your work will be worthwhile.
By the way, if you do things right, one of the beautiful things about the internet is that the work you do today will pay off for months and hopefully years after.
Just like that clean garage you’ll have.
Strategic tip #2: Find one good teacher.
Let me just emphasize “one”. Bouncing around from teacher to teacher, product to product is THE biggest mistake that new hopeful internet marketers make.
However, find a mentor/teacher that’s reputable. You can go to the different marketing forums and ask around, and you’ll get some honest answers. Just beware of anyone trying to sell themselves. The great teachers don’t have to do this in forums.
Once you find them, stick to their strategies and you’ll be way better off than most people who are still playing the bouncy game.
Strategic Tip #3: Research and target a hungry niche that’s got as little competition as possible.
I’m not going to say a whole lot about this. It’s very basic but not quite easy. Everything will have some competition, which is good. This means there’s money to be made.
But best thing I can tell you is to find a hungry crowd, and feed it. A great place to start your research is Ebay. Also, magazine stands, http://Amazon.com, Froogle. You get the picture.
Also Google the phrase: “Finding a Niche Market”. You’ll be reading for days.
Some examples would be:
· Pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish, etc.) · Finance (credit card debt, mortgage guide) · Computers (buyers guides, games, software) · And a lot of success is found in the Health Niche (weight loss, cellulite, diabetes, quit smoking, etc.)
Strategic Tip #4: Pick the low hanging fruit.
What does that mean. That means go for the easiest stuff first.
Here’s what happens. You find a teacher who claims to be a guru. Not knowing since you’re just starting out that they don’t have much more of a clue than you do, they tell you to pick your favorite hobby, write an ebook on it, create a website with a “killer sales page”, and you’ll make a million bucks before you can say B.S.
Now tell me this, how long is it going to take you to write an ebook. Most people don’t know how to write to save themselves, or some do, but are so intimidated by the thought that they never even start, and that ends their online career before it’s ever gotten started.
Or lets say that you did manage to choke out an ebook. Now you have to design the website, and then and here’s the hard part…. you have to write that “killer sales page”. Neither of which is anything close to easy if you’ve never done it.
Yes, you can slap together a website fairly quickly these days, that’s true, but the sales page is where the trouble begins. It takes years to develop that skill just to get to be mediocre.
So where is the low hanging fruit then?
Well, there are a couple choices. The first and probably best choice is affiliate programs.
Listen; nearly every good niche you can think of has an ebook written on the subject somewhere, the best place in which to look is Clickbank. There are thousands of products there, which usually offer a nice commission, sometimes up to 75%, that are just looking for someone to sell for them.
Now here’s the kicker. These products all already have a nice sales page written and all that you have to do is drive traffic to the sales page, they close the sale, and BAM! You get paid. Very simple. Not as easy as it seems, but very simple.
That’s your low hanging fruit.
Strategic Tip # 4 1/2. Resale Rights =Low Hanging Fruit with 100% Commission.
I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t mention Resale Rights.
What are Resale Rights Products. This is where you simply buy the rights to sale a product that’s already created, and usually includes a sales page (I wouldn’t recommend buying one that doesn’t if you’re just beginning) You then keep all the profits.
These days Resale Rights membership sites are popping up all over the place. This is where you pay a small monthly fee, and get new products created for you every single month.
The great thing about this is that most of the time they do the research and create the products about topics that are in high demand.
Sometimes you can even do as you please with the finished product, chopping it up or adding to it to make it more your own style, and to ensure there is nothing duplicated out there.
These are called Private Label Resale Rights.
You can use this material for blogging, creating a newsletter, content website, or any number of things.
The downfall is finding quality products but they are definitely out there, it just takes time and effort to search them out.
So, there you have it in a nutshell. Following these tips should put you closer to making money online a little more quickly.
True financial success only comes to those that master this concept. So ask yourself, “Do you know what kind of Internet marketer you are”?Have your marketing experiences on the Net been positive, negative or mixed?
As you read through the seven levels of marketers provided below, I want you to know that at various times in my life, I have been at almost every single one of them. It was only as my knowledge and experience increased that I was able to upgrade to the level I am at today.
First of all at some point while reading the descriptions of each level, you will probably recognize where you are or where other people are you know.
I recommend while reading you write down where you currently are as you discover your level, to help improve your awareness of your current strategy. This will also help you realize where you need to go.
“Mooches” are people at the very bottom level of marketing. They’re clueless and sit around wasting their time. Most are completely ignorant of the money making opportunities available on the Web.
These people spend their time whining about their financial status without taking the time to evaluate what they need to do to get ahead.
Mooches don’t have a clue about Internet marketing. If you ask them what the Internet is for, they’ll say, “to chat” or “to e-mail friends” or even better, “to watch porn”. You know, something useless.
Lever 2 – The Wanna-Be
Because The “Wanna-Be” has ambition, but not enough. They wander around in the dark looking under stones for a magic treasure box. They want to make money, but don’t have a clue how.
Some get sucked into ridiculous scams and waste their money on garbage ideas that won’t get them anywhere. They need to get smart quick about where they need to go to turn their life around.
Most Wanna-Be marketers have heard of the Internet and know people who make money on the Net, so they are easily excited about opportunities. Unfortunately they spend most of their money on MLM and other money making scams rather than chasing real opportunities.
For example the “Pretend To Be” is living a lie. They pretend to work hard, to do what it takes to get where they need to be. But they don’t actually DO anything. Most are perfectionists, worried about getting it right the first time.
Pretenders are waiting for the perfect time to start a new business. They don’t realize the perfect time is NOW. They talk talk talk about starting an Internet business but lack the guts necessary to DO IT.
Many have successful offline businesses and spend lots of their hard earned money attending seminars and buying e-books about Internet marketing.
A good example of a Pretender is a successful overworked doctor who spends $20,000 on info-products but doesn’t develop a website. The Pretender doesn’t understand a key principle of this industry…
“Marketer” is well on their way to victory. They are making some money. They are strong marketers. They still lack the ambition necessary however to get off their butt and do what they need to do to truly realize victory.
Most Marketers have a website or a moneymaker but don’t have a business. They posses a strong understanding of marketing, copywriting and traffic generation and have a clear sense of what their audience is looking for.
Therefore They enjoy a comfortable living. The problem is they are sitting on their “ass-ets” and thinking what they have accomplished so far is all they can do. They fail to realize there is more opportunity available if they are willing to put in a little extra effort.
“Master” is a smart marketing agent. They are making good money, and can teach others how to do the same. Most are visionaries, charismatic leaders who have a good handle on everything they need to succeed.
Master marketers are millionaires, or at least making 6 figures a year. They are leaders in their industry. They are well versed in direct response marketing and can teach others. They have a vast amount of knowledge both online and offline and experience working in different businesses.
But the Master marketer can get into any niche and make money, even if they don’t have any affinity or experience working with a niche.
However some recognize the Internet is nothing more than a medium they can use to make money. They integrate online and offline marketing. They posses a solid understanding of copywriting, testing and tacking.
They build a team of experts around them and delegate responsibility to talented people.
This is where everyone should aspire to be. The Entrepreneur has already achieved true victory. They are the models that others try to mimic and follow. If you ask me, your goals should be no less than achieving “The Entrepreneur ” statue.
These are the people taking their companies public. They are raising capital and selling to the public… to shareholders… but not to customers.
To sum it up have an exit strategy in place before starting something new. They recognize the purpose of a business is to sell it or put it on autopilot so they can enjoy their lives to the fullest. This is where you want to be.
Companies spend their Internet dollars on the wrong things and end up leaving no investment for marketing.
I was referred to a prospective client recently that had their website redesigned. They paid $60,000 for a site that really does nothing for them.
It is a simple brochure site that provides visitors nothing and it certainly does nothing to convert traffic into sales. Since all their budget went to design, they have no money left over to properly market the site.
Mistake #1, don’t pay $60,000 for a branding exercise.
A corporate website is about supporting the business. The beauty of the Internet is there is no guessing. You can measure pretty much anything. What are you trying to accomplish? Increase traffic? Generate leads?
Increase sales? If it is yes to one of these questions, then a $60,000 investment should get you another $600,00 to your bottom-line? Can a brochure site deliver a 80-95% ROI?
Web design is a commodity today. The cost of design should represent about 25% of your total spend. Design costs are competitive today, so spending more than you have to should be the last thing you do.
There are excellent open source Content Management Systems (CMS) that give you the power to manage your own content. The cost of the software is $0 to you. We recommend using either Plone or Joomla.
Both of these platforms provide you with Web 2.0 compliant back-end at
low cost for setup and maintenance.
The value in web design is working with companies that can properly market what you do. To properly market the site, you should be spending 10-12x what you should spend in design.
So, it is possible to get a Web 2.0 website at an affordable cost. If you are a small company that is spending $4,000-$8,000 on a basic website, you should plan over 12 months to spend an additional $30,000-$80,000 on marketing. The dollars spent on marketing brings the traffic to the site.
Simple rule, more traffic through the front door means more business.
Unlike other advertising, you can control your spend and measure your ROI pretty quickly. You can turn your marketing dollars on and off depending on the performance, it is all measurable.
DeFabis Photography is an example of a client that went through the
We built a Search Engine Friendly website that allows him to manage content on the site. Prior to working with us, his website was not listed in the top 100 on Google for the popular keywords. Since working with us, his visitors and page views have increased. But most important,
he has doubled his bookings from this time last year. And, he did not spend $60,000 on his web design.
If you need help in evaluating a prospective vendor, here are some question that may help you understand their knowledge:
1. How do capture visitor traffic off the Internet? Can you track their movement through my site? If so, how?
2. How do manage pay per click advertising dollars to ensure I am maximizing my spend and not wasting money?
3. How do you measure whether my site is friendly to my users?
4. How many page views would you estimate my site would get to determine the right level of hosting?
5. What things will you need to change on my website? What things can I change on my own?
6. If I want to change the look, does it require changes to the backend scripting on the site?
7. What will it take to add a new page to match an ad we are running to the new site? For instance, I want to
advertise a special and build a page specific for it, what will it take for us to do this?
8. What do you anticipate the average cost per lead for the website to be?
9. Who owns the source code to the site?
So, think about your objectives. Think about what you want to accomplish and spend your money according to the results you want to achieve.
A pretty website just does not generate the type of results you should and can get using the Internet. Don’t get mugged for $60,000. It’s bad for your business.
